PES master league - Strategies and Tactics!

After plenty of tinkering I've set up my master league team with a 4-5-1 formation, straying from my usual 4-3-3 cos I have two splendid wingers in Michel Bastos and Lennon.

What I find interesting though is that the center midfielders tend to dribble towards the wing and the wingers tend to cut in. Not that I mind, since my new CMs are quite fast. :-)

Anyway this game is really eating up way too much of my time hehe! Getting slightly bleary eyed in the mornings...

Mitsubishi Lancer Head Unit removal

1. Remove all 3 HVAC knobs. It feels difficult but you just need to give it a good yank!

2. Unscrew 2 screws inside pocket holding it to the trim panel, both screws are inside at the top.

3. Unscrew 2 screws behind temperature knob and vent selector knob.

4. Remove trim panel around radio and HVAC controls. Do this by gently prying it away, starting from the holes behind the HVAC knobs. It might feel a little bit tough at the start but just give it a good tug and it'll all come off!

5. If you need to, unscrew 4 screws holding radio in place, two on left, two on right.

Otherwise you'll just be able to access the back of your radio unit and plug in the RCA cable into your head unit! Installation is just the reverse of the steps outlined above.

6. Pull radio out.

7. Unscrew 2 screws from adapters, one on each side.

8. Remove wiring harness and antenna cable.

Journalling! (about frisbee)

Alright haven't really been writing a journal post in a long time. Not that i'm really going to start doing so again but... I'm really quite glad to be playing frisbee again - its been about two months of training with Chuckies and i definitely feel fitter and far more confident with my throws. The best bonus is Su Linn joining me for training! And yesterday was her first time at West Coast pickup - which unfortunately was ruined by scowly people who scream at you for throwing away in the disc (in their opinion), while holding on to it and not passing to you when open, then waiting till a high stall count before throwing a huck in the general direction of the end-zone. urgh. anyway, like i said, very glad to be playing regularly again - can't wait for the next pickup session!

Ben and Lavi's at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour - the highlight was Lavi's dad's speech at the dinner! Straydogs!! :-)

More picspam after the cut - heaps of food pics, as usual! )

Just called up the xbox 360 hotline and got a very helpful service personnel arrange for the exchange - which will be at funan digital life mall. Guess I'll be bringing my console down to funan tomorrow so that I can start on PES 2010 just as soon as it goes on sale in Singapore - wheeeee!

And it was good!

It's at the Ghim Moh coffeeshop that also has Aston's. The boss looks Turkish, and the garlic sauce rivals Taza's in Queensway! Will eat again if I'm in the neighbourhood. Offers something different from Aston's :-)

Frisbee and bruises

Training this morning was really hardcore! I had some difficulty coping with the drills at the beginning, I think due to lack of food in the morning but managed to step up a gear after the mid session break. Woot!

Made a couple of excellent defensive plays today but dropped a few easy passes in bad areas too. Sigh. Throwing was a little off too - need to work out lots of kinks in my forehand and backhand.

Got a pretty bruised thumb for my efforts too:

That looks unnatural!

Obviously having nothing else better to do, I created an animated gif for solving the P6 PSLE puzzle found in the CNA article...

Woohoo! How'd this lot ever beat Man Utd? Better news is that Chelsea lost 3-1 at Wigan and got the bad rub of referee luck. Heh!

C'mon you Spurs!

DealExtreme.com

This place, DealExtreme.com is like shopping daiso, but doing it online from the comfort of your chair!

My church friend told me about it 'cos he bought an iphone case for $5 - couldn't resist the lure of cheap electronic gadgetry and succumbed to buying 8 items (including 2 extra iPhone usb cables - one is only 8 cm long - perfect for charging when using the laptop!) - can't wait for the package to arrive! I also bought a mini bluetooth usb dongle - will test it out on the office desktop and an iPhone exercise armband - too cheap to resist at $6. :)

I've a friend that works at Paypal and apparently DealExtreme.com bring the most revenue to them out of asia! Who knew there was so much money to be made out of bits and bobs... the first aisle I always hit at Best Denki is always the A/V cables aisle - I'm such a sucker!

Very verry nice burgers. I had the Miss Piggy and Su Linn had the berg with cheese. The Edam cheese gave my burger a pretty solid taste kick. Comparable to GBK in the UK for sure! If only they had beetroot...

What can I say, splendid start to the season, especially with Defoe's blinding hat-trick! Huddlestone in the middle seems to be working better and better! Palacios gets his first goal, Keane finds his mojo and bentley got a rusty run out. Triffic :-)

Incisive comments on Football

Probably the bet piece of football commentary I've heard in a long time cane from Chris Waddle last weekend. After Darren Bent had scored in his first competitive game for Sunderland, he said

"Bent is not so good with the ball to his feet, but has got good pace and finishes well one-on-one, especially when he's got space in front of him to run on to. But at a Big Team like Spurs, the defence drops off and there's much less space to run into. "

Hah! A Big Team like spurs! :)

Since I bought the iPhone about three weeks ago (and before that, used the iPod touch) I've spent close to 250 USD over two years on songs and games. The large majority of which went to Apple as profits!

Make your content interesting enough and easily accessible, at sensible prices & you're on to a winner. All I'm waiting for now is Civilization Revolution to be released in Singapore's iPhone App store!

Terrific match last night! The midfield was full of bite and purpose, with palacios particularly snarling and modric conjuring magic in partnership with keane. Lennon was electric, as usual and bassong formed an imperious pairing with king. Really solid start to the season!

Ekoto's goal was a real bolt from the blue, but nonetheless well deserved. No way that voronin deserved a penalty though - the challenge was well within premiership norms. :)

Terminate colour me tones!

  • Aug. 7th, 2009 at 5:38 PM
Jesus pingpong

This is useful info that the Singtel website refuses to give up easily. Spread the word!

from hardwarezone forums

You can terminate colourme tones on your own without calling 1626, and it's immediate.

1. Dial *590 on your mobile phone
2. Press '6' which is the option to terminate the service
3. Press '1' to confirm

The robot will say "we are currently processing your request", and the line will go dead. (She doesn't bother to say thank you & goodbye) But it doesn't matter. The termination is immediate. There won't be anymore song when others call your number. [Quote]

Dinner at borders bistro

Just had dinner at borders bistro... Pics first!

Pretty good deal too! $19.90 for my set, which had smoked salmon salad, pork loin with apple and cinammon sauce, tea and a scoop of ice cream. $16.90 for Su Linn's gamberini pasta. Terrific deal and pretty tasty food too!

I remember the JC days when borders seemed so expensive and posh... Now it's a great deal, almost cheap & cheerful!
